Greene County Chamber staff paused only a moment after wrapping up this year’s Rad Barn Home and Craft Show last Saturday before announcing dates and new management for next year’s event.
This year’s show drew more than 700 persons to enjoy and shop the wares of vendors in three separate buildings and outdoors at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Chamber executive director Chris Henning thanked all the volunteers who assisted in planning and on Saturday.
Next year, the Red Barn Home and Craft Show will be a two-day event, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13, also at the fairgrounds. The Greene County Fair Association will manage and promote the event, with Josh Hedges, Bob Allen and Gary Schiltz taking lead roles. A vendor committee led by Joyce Rasmussen, Deb Lupardus, Anita Briggs and Cheri Delay will assist.
Other Greene County businesses have already agreed to hold spin-off events as they did this year.
